![]() ![]() After MC Hammer joined Death Row in 1996, 2Pac wrote this song and wanted Hammer to rap the lyrics. However, the lyrics were actually not intended to be in his voice. General CommentThis is a very emotional and touching song, which in my opinoin is one of 2Pac's best. love this songĪnyone reckon the tone f this chorus is VERY similar to life goes on, it coulc almost fit into the same beats, The vivid pictures, bit, you can feel his frustration in the song.Īnd all the bts everyone else mentioned. He's also an idealist, and it really shows through in these lyrics I cant emphisize more that it's the tone of his voice that adds all the emotions to the song. General CommentD-Gen, i like ur concept, make us wander how pac would be if he was alive now. I'm going through a lot of stuff right now so my mind is going every direction possible. He is telling his mom to lay her head on his shoulder cuz he died like a soldier. When he says 'after all the lights and screams nothing but my dreams matter' he is saying that after the shooting all he has is his mind. He wishes he could have done more with his life. The third verse kind of describes how his life ended. The second verse is when he moved away and started dealing 'Just got the message you've been calling all week been out here hustling on these streets, ain't had a chance to speak' and how he wishes that he wouldnt have to do it and how he wishes that poverty, drugs and cussing never existed. He's talking about how he was growing up with nothing and about the fights he got into with his mom. He says 'come listen to my truest thoughts my truest feelings' just like an old man will say let me tell you a story. General CommentI think this song kind of tells about his life in order. You still came with that, unconditional love Never treated me bad, no matter who I was So many vivid pictures, and all the currency Maybe it's the way the played it in my heart Something inside, please let me die these are strange times Trying to change your ways while gettin paid at the same time The struggle never stops (unconditional love) No pleasure in the suffering, neighborhood would be good Time to play and strategize, my family's gotta eat ![]() Prison ain't what we need, no longer stuck in greed So I proceed to make Gs, eternally in my mission We could never be enemies, cause you been such a good friend to meĭriven by my ambitions, desire higher positions Just got the message you've been calling all weekīeen out here hustling on these streets, ain't had a chance to speak So you will always be in my heart, with unconditional love We must remember that tomorrow comes after the dark Though things change, the future's still inside of me In this game the lesson's in your eyes to see In my room crying cause I didn't want to be a burdenĪnd I ain't worried bout a damn thang, with unconditionl love My broken down TV, show cartoons in my living room (hey) Though we were born without a silver spoon Witness the tears falling free from my eyes This life without God, so we must ask forgiveness To the family, please visit our floral store.Talking bout the stuff that don't wear offĬome listen to my truest thoughts, my truest feelingsĪll my peers doing years beyond drug dealing The family has asked those who would like to make a contribution may do so in his memory to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or a mental health charity of their choosing.
